Get Living is the pioneer of the build-to-rent sector as we know it, having taken the former Athletes’ Village of the London 2012 Olympics and launched East Village, the UK’s first large scale rental neighbourhood.
Today, we operate over 5,700 build-to-rent homes in seven locations – East Village and Elephant Central in London, New Maker Yards in Manchester, One Maidenhead in Berkshire, The Filigree in Lewisham, Sherlock Quarter in Birmingham and The Oakgate in Leatherhead.
Our growth journey is set to continue with a secured pipeline that includes one of the capital’s major regeneration projects.
The Elephant, in London’s Zone 1, is set to deliver a transformed town centre for Elephant and Castle. The former shopping centre site will see 485 homes delivered to rent (313 market rent and 172 affordable rent) alongside 135,000 sq ft of shops, restaurants and leisure space and 55,000 sq ft of workspace.
The scheme will also provide a new state-of-the-art university campus for London College of Communication, UAL, and a new Tube station entrance and ticket hall, alongside high-quality public realm.
This second phase is set to be complete early 2026. In March 2025, a revised proposal was submitted to Southwark Council for the third phase, the West Site, to deliver 507 new rental homes, 452 students beds, new public realm and a cultural venue.
