At Get Living, we understand that a home is more than just bricks and mortar. It’s about creating a vibrant community where people feel connected. That’s why social value – creating wider social, environmental and economic benefits, is at the core of the neighbourhoods we create.
Being a force for good means taking an active role in our neighbourhoods, working closely with residents, local stakeholders and wider communities. We not only contribute to local charities but also establish our own initiatives to address local needs to support and empower the communities we serve.
As well as funding and resource, we also dedicate many spaces to long-term community partners. These partnerships offer us a chance to work closely with an organisation to shape up programming and activities that deliver positive outcomes not just for our residents but for those living near our neighbourhoods.
We work with Action Funder to deliver our local bursary at our operational sites. Annually we reach out into the community to seek applications for activities and programming that will deliver against our headline social value areas: Promoting nature and sustainable living; celebrating arts and culture; supporting skills, enterprise and employment; and enhancing health and wellbeing.
Through the fund we are able to establish local relationships that respond to need. A key goal is to connect our residents and our neighbourhood based colleagues to these organisations so we can deepen impact through ongoing relationships, volunteering and awareness.
